Moli AI Consent

Version 2

This notice explains how your personal data is processed if you use Moli AI, Moli's AI assistant for parents, and asks for your explicit consent under Articles 5/1 and 9 of Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). The data controller is Moli; for general information, see the Privacy Notice.

1. Moli AI is optional

Using Moli AI is entirely up to you. If you do not accept this notice, or withdraw your consent later, every other part of the App (the program, games, tasks, activities and Parent Academy) works exactly the same.

2. What Moli AI does and does not do

  • It offers short, practical behavioral suggestions on everyday topics such as routines, homework, sleep, transitions and moments of anger, in line with the activities in the program.
  • Replies are generated automatically by artificial intelligence and may be wrong, incomplete or not suited to your situation.
  • It is not a professional: it does not diagnose, does not recommend medication or doses, does not interpret the effects of medication and is not a substitute for treatment. Please talk to your doctor about health matters.
  • If it detects signs of a risk of self-harm or harm to others, or of suspected abuse, it shows an approved safety message and sources of help instead of a normal reply. In an emergency, call your local emergency number right away (112 in Türkiye).

3. What data is processed?

  • The messages you write and Moli AI's replies. To prepare a reply, up to the last 10 messages of the same conversation are also used.
  • Limited program information about your child: age group, the skills you want to focus on, the current program week and day and that week's focus skill, and a short summary of the last 7 days (active days and the number of completed tasks and sessions).
  • Usage information: which child a conversation was started for, when messages were sent and how many messages you send each day.

Never sent: your first name, last name, email address, phone number and your child's nickname. Email addresses, phone numbers and 11-digit numbers (such as Turkish ID numbers) in your messages are automatically removed before sending.

Please note: do not share identifying details, addresses or school names for yourself, your child or anyone else with Moli AI, and above all do not share health information (such as diagnoses, medication or treatment). If you share such information anyway, it is processed under this explicit consent solely to prepare your reply.

4. Why is it processed?

  • To answer your questions in a way that suits your child's age and where they are in the program.
  • To check messages and replies for safety (automatic detection of risk signs and harmful content).
  • To show you your conversations for the period you choose.
  • To prevent misuse and enforce the daily message limit.

5. Transfer outside Türkiye

To generate replies and check content for safety, your messages and the program information listed in section 3 are transferred to OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States of America).

  • The transfer relies on the appropriate safeguards provided for in Article 9 of the KVKK (the standard contract published by the Personal Data Protection Board) and on the explicit consent you give with this notice.
  • Under the provider's API terms, this data is not used to train the provider's AI models. The provider may keep it for up to 30 days to monitor for misuse and then deletes it.
  • Personal data protection rules in the United States of America differ from those in Türkiye.

6. Storage and deletion

  • Your conversations are stored encrypted on Moli's servers in Türkiye.
  • You choose how long they are kept in Settings → Moli AI: 1, 30 or 90 days (30 days by default). Conversations are permanently deleted automatically every night once their period has ended.
  • You can delete all your conversations at any time in the same section.
  • If you delete your account, all your conversations are permanently deleted as well.

7. Automated decisions and your right to object

Moli AI's replies are generated automatically, but it does not make decisions about you or your child, and it does not produce any assessment or score. Under Article 11 of the KVKK, if you believe an outcome that is unfavorable to you has resulted solely from automated analysis of your data, you may object to it. You can exercise your other rights as described in the Privacy Notice.

8. Withdrawing your consent

You can withdraw your explicit consent at any time in Settings → Moli AI → Withdraw Moli AI consent. When you do, Moli AI is turned off and all your conversations are permanently deleted. Withdrawing your consent does not affect processing carried out on the basis of your consent before you withdrew it.

9. Statement of explicit consent

By ticking the box, I confirm that I have read and understood this notice, and I freely give my explicit consent to the processing of the messages I write to Moli AI and the program information listed in section 3 for the purposes in section 4, and to their transfer to OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States of America) as described in section 5.
